Heya. I am going to be soon creating a movie and after I made my last one almost 2 years ago I have been pondering which movie editor that I should use.

Which Movie Maker I should use. (I have all of these) Some facts:

1. Windows Movie Maker-
---Good: Easy to pick up and go, small file sizes when exporting the movie
---Bad: Not enough effects, cannot create effects, not enough transitions, not exactly "Grade A" quality when exported.

2. Adobe Premiere Pro
---Good: Excellent Effects, Transitions, Allows you to make your own effects, precise timing.
---Bad: No Matter how hard I try, the file size is outragous, after months of attempting everything, the only way I can get the file down is to DIRECTLY talk to someone via IM and figure out how to fix this. The preview window lags, its kinda complicated to make effects, well very complicated.

3. Sony Vegas 5.0a
---Good: Stable Preview Window, small and good quality file sizes.
---Bad: I have no idea how to edit, never touched it since I havn't made a movie. I don't know if you can make effects.

Criteria: The movie will be 30 Minutes long, I would like it to be full screen but I can deal with a smaller screen size to save space. I do not want it to exceed 200MB.

I think I will begin making my movie immediatly after I buy an additional hardrive. If anyone has read this and has a suggestion, or comment, I'M HERE MAN!!

Try VirtualDub (free) and convert to an mpeg4 codec like mpeg4 v1,2, or 3, xvid, divx and compress the audio to mp3, ac3, ogg, etc.

Try saving as mpeg1 or wmv

Which program are you talking about?

I canno't just simply go into the movie editor and do this, I kinda need guidance since I have been lost for months.

I have all of these programs, so I dont need a free Movie editor considering that I have some of the top of the line video editing software outthere. But, were you suggesting save the movie with the editor of my choice, export it, through it into Virtual Dub and export it again? I have tried this with Adobe Premiere and windows movie maker, but the quality was drastically depleted. Once again I must elaborate, even if I have made a movie before (Using WMM2) I didnt like the amount of effects etc.. I need a little help on Condencing/Compressing. By that I mean DixX CANNOT Bring a 50,000MB file to 200MB with just a little condensing. Which is the file size Adobe Premiere Pro does. If anyone HAS Premiere Pro, and can help me through this process I would be really appreciative. OR uses Vegas 5.0a and knows a few good tutorial websites on this.. There is only a few websites on Vegas for learning. Thousands on premiere, and I personally would love to use premiere pro, but since no one I know has the program, (They have to have it, because all they do then is tell me condense it to a smaller file size, which is simply what I cannot do). The file compression to me, seems impossible because of the fact I DONT know how! Thanks again!

yall know any good Music-Artists that work good in the field of movies? Not like your favorite rock/rap/metal bands, but dudes that sometimes use an orchestra approach or somthing of the like.. Like Hans Zimmer. Got any reccommendations?

It really depends. What is your input source? What is your desired output? I semi-recently made a DVD of random internet movies, flash, and other stuff so I have a pretty decent background in doing this sort of thing. If you can give me some specifics I can probably point you in the right direction.
