I'm really not sure if this is a hardware or software issue, but I tend to suspect hardware. I have had this occur, whether playing a movie on my standalone player, or on my PC using Cyberlink. But, when it happens, I start again on the unit not in use, and it will play the entire movie without a problem. This would suggest that the problem is not the disk, but then the only hardware common to either method of play is the TV. I can't imagine that the TV is the problem though. Does anyone have any ideas that might help? I have found some things Googling, but they would apply only to one method of play...generally though the PC.
The that I can think of, that I haven't tried yet, is to connect only the PC or the player to the TV at the same time, but usually the player is only on when playing a DVD, but the PC stays connected continously.
