Movie decoder card

Is there such a card that can output to the TV different movie formats? I don't want to use two videocards only to have one for just playing movies on my TV. I have a Realmagic Hollywood Plus and it just does Video CD's and MPEG files. Is there anything like this card that decodes DVD's and plays AVI files?

You could convert the AVI files to MPEG if you wanted to, what is your need of playing AVi files?

Yeah, I thought about doing that, but it takes forever (almost a day). I just want to display AVI movies on my TV, that's all 🙂

You need either a video card with a TV-out or else a scan converter (a little box you can connect between your computer and TV to convert the VGA signal to a TV signal).

A new video card will cost between US$50 and $500, an Averkey imicro scan converter costs $90.
