Just a tip for moderators; When you move a spammer thread to the dumpster, untick the 'post a redirection topic' option. Having that there is as bad as leaving the original thread.
 
Yes, we try, but as it is set to default sometimes they get missed.

IIRC the discussion has been raised to change this from the default, but it is not top priority right now.
