Moved Mr. Fuzzy into a new cage

removed that blue tub as that was the location of a possible water bowl, but decided not to put one in there.

He took right to hiding. we still believe its a He, but hasnt been probed yet, his tail is getting longer. he eats 3 live hoppers each meal time.

he has moved onto hoppers now, but we got him when he was eating fuzzies.

we actually feed him hoppers, which are mice, but they have a full coat of fur, but arent quite full grown.

Very nice!!!! I haven't seen a snake thread on AT since the last one I posted about three years ago.

I had a Royal; he never got very big at all but he was 7 years old when I gave him away.

He was not sick, but he would only eat one average size mouse once a month, if that.

In contrast, the Columbian Redtail I had, kept under the same conditions, moved from mice, to rats, to two rats, to small rabbits every two weeks in just five years. She was almost 12 feet long when I gave her away. I miss my snakes.

Nice cage, BTW. Mr. Fuzzy will be very happy.

After bouncing her around from different aquariums and wood enclosures, I finally kicked out the cash, and it was well worth it. Not only does it look almost good enough for the living room, I can have one side of the cage at 90 degrees and the other side at 80. The biggest thing though is that my wife is terrified of the snake. It had gotten out of fishtanks a few times. It will never escape this cage.
Plus, the cage retains the humidity a lot better than a screened top. However, even at the reptile show, I paid $250 for it, and another $30 apiece for the water bowl and hide. But I was tired of looking at tupperware bins and knocked over waterbowls.
