Moved a Win7 hard drive to all new system

My brother installed Win7 pro 64 on his old C2D system last month and then got one of those Fry's i7 deals that are too good to pass up so he built a new system- but he didn't want to reinstall all of his apps, etc. I told him to just try putting the HD in the new system and see what happens. What happened was it detected all the new hardware and installed drivers automatically. He was up and running in 5 minutes. Now, he doesn't game but his system has lots of office and video editing software so there is still a little testing to see if everything works well. But it is pretty encouraging so far.
