I do not believe Outlook Express uses the .pst file, unless that is something new.

Search for a .wab file on the old HDD. That might be the address book.

I have had trouble finding OE addresses if I do not export them b4 disconnecting the original HDD.
Same thing with email accounts.
Anyone know the answer when using OE?

Actually everyone is making it too hard. Outlook uses .pst files, Outlook Express doesn't. The best way to move address' from one computer to another is simply by exporting from the existing computer by doing a simple CSV file. Take the CSV file you have created in the export process and save it to a disk (floppy or CD) or you can E-mail to a web account if both PC's have web access. Once you get the CSV file moved to the new PC simply do an import and chose the CSV file you created and bingo there you go all is well.

Search the drive for .wab files.
That would be the format used by Outlook Express.

1.
To import an address book from another program

You can import address book contacts from other Windows Address Book files (.wab), as well as from Netscape Communicator, Microsoft Exchange Personal Address Book, or any text (.csv) file.

For Windows Address Book files:

In Address Book, on the File menu, point to Import, and then click Address Book (WAB).
Locate and select the address book you want to import, and then click Open.
For all other address book formats:

In the Address Book, on the File menu, point to Import, and then click Other Address Book.
Click the address book or file type you want to import, and then click Import.
If your address book is not listed, you can export it to either a text (.csv) file or an LDIF (LDAP Directory Interchange Format) file, and then import it using that file type.
