Does anyone know much about thissound card..thingy??

Here is a quote.

<< Based on the successful EWX®/EWS88® technology, DMX 6fire24/96 uses only the best in sound technology: 24Bit/96kHz transducer components for all inputs and outputs guarantee a straight frequency response and a signal-to-noise ratio beyond-100db!

That has no EAX, A3D, etc.
It's a professional sound card, so stick to your Game Theaters and Audigies (TerraTec makes a soundcard based on the same DSP as the Game Theater, if you're interested).

<< Gamers will also be amazed when seeing the range of compatibility. Fast DirectSound, EAX, A3D, Sensaura 3D or MacroFX are just a few of the favourite standards supported. I guess I'm just lazy...I read it now, but it doesn't say which DSP is underneath. It's probably not the CS4630, as they already make one of those.

I have no idea which DSP it uses. But it has the ENVY 24 CHIP (controller) from IC Ensemble according to the terratec respond received by mark at 3DSoundSurge)

You will find some detail about the chip on the link above or from www.icensemble.com

And here is actual pic of the card itself.
(to see it, go to the link then click on the small picture of it on the right side)

BTW, it's got some hefty system requirement :Q
It's sold at German Amazon for EUR 259,00 or DM 506,56
