Hello

Im moving my IMAP account to another PC from Outlook 2013 but I have had problems doing POP3 to IMAP transitions and IMAP transitions in general so I want to know what is the best way to do this.

Correctly, IMAP is stored server side, never client side, but with Outlook 2013 folders and filters and etc. I don't want it to get lost.

What is the best way to do this?

Thank you

IMAP stores everything on the server unless you specifically tell it not to (by putting items in a PST file separate from the IMAP folders or telling the IMAP folders not to sync, for example). So just set up the IMAP account on the new computer and it should automatically download everything from the server into Outlook.

Anything not already on the server because its IMAP should be saved in the PST file. Just copy that to the new system. It'll even retain your server settings.

I remember having issues when I copy/pasted it on another PC....Are you sure about this?

So I would remake the account on the new PC and then copy/paste everything over, OVERWRITTING, anything, correct?

The issue I have I think it with folders not getting passed over correctly.
