I needed to move into a better case than the old steel one i was using. The newer alum case I wanted to use already had an nForce2 board in it, the FIC AU13. Being a lazy bum, I decided not to swap the mobo, but to just see how the AU13 performs compared to the 8RDA+. The 8RDA+ has a 3000+ in it, running @ 11.5x200fsb stock voltage - but there are plenty of heat related issues, like flaky sound and lan at that fsb. FIC claims this AU13 offically supports 200fsb......:gift:

So I move all components over, and don't even try to run at stock speeds, I just use the same settings as before, 11.5.x200fsb stock voltage. She boots up, no problems, and after a reboot, runs just fine. Better performance, somewhat more stable too, and a better feature set to boot. Anyone wanna buy the 8RDA+ off of me?

Shhh ;) the AU13 is the best kept secret. People don't buy it because they are ugly - green/black, no SATA. But they run very smooth, and it has MCP-T, and now comes with C1 step for 200 fsb support, and cost about $80.00 average. The Shuttle AN35-N is the best deal price wise for performance, but the AU13 has soundstorm. Great mobo. It's $40.00 cheaper than the Abit NF7-S.

I've known, used and resold FIC mobo's for many years - since the famous VA-503+ (of which I still have 3 working here!). But I heard so much good stuff about the 8RDA+, I decided to go that route instead - besides the AU13 did not have the C1 stepping at the time.

But I'm now much happier than I was. FIC rocks!

I had a Biostar, but sold my entire system for $$. I was given the FIC AU13, and a Lan Boy Case. Runs fantasic. Fast as can be, and stable. Can't beat that. Im happy with it. Wont be changing for some time.
