Move computer to basement?

Hi guys,

Was thinking of moving my computer case out of my computer room to the basement below. Heat and lack of room are the main reasons. Does anyone know a site or sites that go into what's necessary for this? I imagine most of it is as simple as getting longer usb and monitor cables, but I'm sure there are some really good ideas out there that I've never thought of. Also so gotchas I should be aware of, I'm sure.

What i'd want to end up with is only the monitors, keyboard, mouse, and speakers in the computer room, with everything else being in the basement.

Looking forward to some helpful replies.
 
You will run into problems regarding cross talk for wires, running extremely long lengths of cable for displays can lead to interference.

I would reccomend something like cat5 repeaters
 
I'm only looking at about 25' cables, max. 20' might even work. Would that be considered an "extremely long length" of cable?
