Ok so I got a new Kodak camera for fathers day and I would like to convert some of the videos I took off it and burn it to DVD (Currently they format to Quicktime MOV). I've done some looking aound and haven't found one that would work/was worth my time. Of course I would like a freeware version if at all possible. I had one before my format but you know how that goes; when a hard drive starts to sould like a bad pair of brake pads on a car you just get rid of it be fore you start some thing on fire (jk). Thanks for your suggestions and ideas.

You'll need the Quicktime Alternative to make things easier than an 18-step process. After you install that you should be able to convert with TMPGEnc, though you may need to install AviSynth and learn how to make a basic DirectShowSource reader script.

TMPGEnc can encode to a DVD-compatible format. The only thing that has to be done is to rename the files and split them if necessary, which Nero can do. (Or a few other programs)
