mouseware needed to get 800dpi out of Logitech MX500/700 ?

hi,

yesterday i stumbled upon some weird comment...

Many people run their Logitech mice (MX300/500/700) with the native XP drivers etc., like i did.
Ok, someone stated that the Logitech drivers (mouseware) "send a specific signal to the mouse so it does the 800dpi [instead of the 400dpi]".
Anyone ever heard about that ?

greets

Btw. i installed mouseware 9.76 now and it "seems" that the mouse actually moves faster than with the XP drivers, so it might be true that only the Logitech drivers make it 800dpi ????????????

I don't know, but sounds like something they would do. I mean...they have to do something to force you into installing that worthless Mouseware software.

So true,

I must admit I do prefer the mouseware control panel to the standard "Mouse" properties window in CPanel.

I like the fact that it pretends to know what the battery level is 😎

So heres how it works:

Mouse is working: Battery Level Good
Mouse aint working: Replace batterys

So cheap

maybe the default acceleration setting for mouseware is higher than the windows setting, maybe thats why you feel thats its faster?
