Mouse won't work

When I boot my computer my mouse won't work. I need to do a alt + ctrl + Del and then esc in order for the mouse to work. Anyone know why or how I can fix this?

Thanks much

Assuming your using Windows, go into "Device Manager", look for "mice and other pointing devices" find your mouse, highlight mouse, right click once, in the drop down menu select "unistall". Once the device is uninstalled, shut system down. Attach mouse and reboot. Windows should have a generic driver for it to work properly. Hope it helps.

I deleted the old driver and rebooted like you said but still no luck. I have never seen this happen before. Any other ideas?

Thanks
