I have a Kensington Mouse-in-a-box Optical Pro mouse and am using the newest Kensington drivers in a fresh install of XP Pro.
I have my computer set up to kick in the screen saver after 10 minutes and to turn the monitor off after 45 minutes. If I leave the monitor in sleep for a long period of time (usually overnight), the mouse wheel fails to function when I awake it in the morning.
If I reboot, the wheel begins to function correctly again. The odd thing though, if I reboot when the mouse wheel doesn't work, the program devldr32.exe is not responding and Windows force quits it. If I reboot when the mouse wheel is functioning, I don't get any devldr errors.
I've tried to completely remove my mouse and HID drivers, reboot and re-install, but that doesn't help any (other than honing my keyboard navigation skillz!).
I know the problem involves the device loader, but how do I fix it?
