Mouse very choppy when playing games

I have a logitech mx700 wireless mouse/keyboard, and its great except for this one problem. In game, any game really, if I am playing and say I run out of desk space and I need to pick up the mouse and move it somewhere, when I set it back down, it goes from really smooth to unbearably choppy. Like so choppy I cant aim or anything. But if I minimize the game, go to the desktop and click the start button and refresh the desktop, it goes back to its smooth self. Anyone else have similar issues?

Exactly why i still use wired keyboard and mouse. Tried wireless.....didn't care for it at all.

- MAKE SURE you have uninstalled any mouse software/utility for the previous mouse you had connected. It should be listed in Add/remove Programs.

- Try re-synchronizing the mouse and reciever. Press the reset buttons on the reciever and mouse. This cures most problems.

- If the mouse is connected via USB, geta PS/2 adapter and try it that way. Sometimes some other device on the USB bus will interfere with the mouse. If it behaves using the PS/2 you may want to leave it that way (works just as good as USB) or you may want to try another USB port (USB ports are wired in pairs to the same controller - use a jack from another pair). I had a similar issue that involved a Kodak Compact Flash card reader - it would driver my MS Explorer Mouse crazy while playing games. Fine on the desktop. Unplug the card reader and it goes away.

- Uninstall any Logitech software that may have come with the mouse. Most of the time that's the problem. Windows will natively support the mouse without it (although the software will add some fancy features that Windows doesn't support). Do this for now as a test. If it behaves you know it's the software, if not then you move on to something else.

If it does seem to be the software and you REALLY want some feature in it, try downloading the latest version.

Hope this helps...
