Hi,
I`ve just come into a small amount of money, £50. And was thinking of upgrading my mouse.

My existing one is;
MS Intellimouse Optical v1.0

I was thinking of
Logitech MX500 - Seems good. dodgy software though, can only use some of the buttons in games cos of this.
Logitech MX700 - As above, but dunno about the lag/delays cos of the RF wireless technology. I notice even slight delay in anything.
MS Bluetooth Optical Mouse - I loved the shape and feel of the original RF one, but as above, what about the lag.

Has anyone seen any reviews of the MS Bluetooth mouse? i cant find any that touch up on the reponce time/lag/delay thing.

Thanks in advance guys(or gals)

I would go with one of the MXs. Though I haven't tired it my self, the MX700 is supposed to be the fastest wireless mouse you can get, and works great in games.

I upgraded from my Intellimouse Optical 1.0 to the Intellimouse Explorer 3.0a and I've been pretty happy with it. The MX mice have gotten rave reviews so you can't go wrong there either.

Im swaying towards the MX500, for two reasons.
1) Ive concluded that a wireless mouse is a waste of time for me. And i cant be arsed replacing the batteries.
2) The MX500 is corded, so no lag.

Just one worry though.
The Drivers/Software for them. Ive heard that you cant use all of the buttons in games and/or major compatibilites with most games.

Opinions on this?

Ive just read a couple of reviews on the MX700 & The MX500 mice. and i slightly changed my opinion on wireless mice.
They both have the same software problem, although, theres a fix on website. it says win95/98/nt, but works on xp aparantely.
read
Here
Would my wireless headphones interfere with the mouse?. My headphones can pick from 3 frequencys by the way.
Would my mobile phone interfere with the mouse? Cos with my headphones, if my mobile phone goes off, then i have to switch them off, and then on again otherwise i get garbled sound
Assuming i was to buy the MX700, what is the lag like on that, some of the reviews says that theres none, but i want to hear from some actual users about it.

Pick from below:-
No lag whatsoever
A little lag.
about the same as ms wireless
quite a bit of lag.
loads, ie, rubbish for fast paced games.

Thanks in advance

No lag whatsoever, its the best wireless mouse I have used. Only complain I have is the scroll wheel. Dont waste your money on the bluetooth mouse its the same sh@t like the old explorer wireless, which there is lag in FPS games. As for the batteries there is no need to change it, since its comes with a base to charge the those rechargable batteries.
My arm is stronger now thanks to the weight of the mouse. :)

How can a bluetooth mouse be laggy? i thought that bluetooth had a higher bandwidth than RF.
Anyway, ive just brought Unreal2, so im probably buying the MX500. Not too bad, as a wireless mouse is useless for me. And the extra that ive left over will buy me a nice mouse mat.
Which of the ones of These is best?

What would you do,
Buy the MX500 + Fancy Mouse mat.
or
Buy the MX700.

".

Note : Due to the metal reflective surface this is not recommended for optical mice."

Thats a quote for the coolmaster.

I'd get the EverGlide. I've heard a lot about it and its suppose to be very good.

Try them out first. My friend has the MX700 says its great but doesn't like it in games, he fines it a bit too heavyy for his tastes though. I have an Intellimous Optical and the new Intellimouse Wireless Explorer mouse.

Good shape.
DOES lag if you don't use it often; like when you don't move the cursor for a bit and then start to move it I NOTICE the lag at the very start. Then after that initial bit its fine. I with it and its fine. Q3 = fine.

There are no batteries to replace in the MX700, they recharge when you put the mouse on the base. There's not lag, I play a lot of games with mine.

Ive just had a look at Overclockers UK again, and now they have a shed load of mouse mats. Whats the difference between the new arrivals? Is it just the colour and shape?

BoomAM ,don`t forget you can order Everglide products from their UK store
here ,if you go with the MX500/700 I would get the Everglide Optical Giganta pad.

Thanks for the heads up.
Which of their pads is best then? Cos they are all the same price. To me, they all seem the same apart from the colour and shape.

The Optical Giganta and Optical attack pad are the same apart from size, these are best for optical mice. They also help cordless optical mice last longer battery wise, due to the fact the optical sensor finds it easier to track on the optical pad so by using less battery power to scan the surface.Colour wise it`s up to you.
