I have a black Microsoft USB 2.0 optical red laser mouse. It works fine for awhile and then either slowly or all of the sudden loses it's mouse sensitivity and becomes jerky in it's movements. In the beginning I can move the mouse a short distance and it obeys my every movement with minimal effort. Later, when it's not working right, I have to move the mouse a great distance just to get it to move a few pixels on the screen and when it does the movement is jerky and not smooth. Things I have tried.
1. Uninstalling and re-installing mouse drivers.
2. Installing the latest drivers for my motherboard(MSI ZH77A-G43) using MSI LiveUpdate software.
As I stated above, unplugging the mouse and plugging it back in restores the correct functionality. Without a reboot or anything else. I am running on Windows 7 Ultimate with SP1. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.
