does this exist? I know they make usb to ps2 converters that come with many new mice, but do they make one that will do the opposite? I seem to be having trouble with my mouse ps2 port when playing counter-strike, all of a sudden the mouse will stop working, if i unplug it, then plug it in again it works, but is really irritating. I've been using a USB mouse and it works fine. I want to use my old mouse in the USB port so I'd need a converter like this.

Thanks,

Tim

Before you get any adapter for the mouse, make sure the mouse is PS2 AND USB Compatible. If it's not, it doesn't matter what adapter you use, it's not gonna work.

PS2 should be better for a mouse than USB. There's a better tranfer rate for PS2 which is why keyboards and mice are setup for PS2. You could check your mouse settings in BIOS and in your OS.

actually novatone usb has the better transfer rate but takes up a lot more cpu cycles then ps2 does... this causes degrated performance in games...
