I am having problems with my mouse not working sometimes when I start up my computer and also when it restarts. It is an optical mouse by IBM and sometimes it wont work when I start up or restart. To fix this I have to unplug it from the USB port and replug it in. I was just wondering if it its something wrong with my USB on my motherboard or does it sound like the mouse dont work right. In case you were wondering my board is an Epox 8rda+. Any help would be nice please.
 
Try a different USB port,try a different USB mouse,try a USB to PS/2 adaptor and see if that works fine(presuming you can use PS/2 with your mouse) .

That should narrow the problem down.
