Mouse problems? My Computer has a mind of its own!

Mouse seems to be crazy? It won't highlight anything, on written text the cruser scrolls very fast through the text? I can't use the back space, it only goes back one character then goes back to the end. I can see it like its flashing back and over the character? If I go up the File, Edit,...Help pulldowns it it will flash through them continuously and not stop. I have the newest driver for my mouse, it is an older mouse, Logitec Mouseman Wheel. But to make matters worse I don't think it's the mouse as I run it through a KVM switch and the other computer is fine? Any ideas? TIA.

A few ideas:

- Bypass the KVM and go mouse-to-computer just for a test
- Swap ports in the KVM
- Do you have another mouse around? Swap it to try.
