Mouse problems in Mechwarrior 4 -- please help!

Having a small problem here with Mechwarrior 4. I can't reassign buttons within the game for my mouse. The default settings work fine and the mouse works fine while playing the game, but I can't change the config of any of the mouse buttons.

I have a Logitech optical mouse. I'm running Win2k with the latest logitech driver's on an Asus P4b266 P4 1.8a northwood.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hmmm...I have the same mouse and was able to assign the little button on the side to change what weapon grouping I was using so I don't know. I never tried to change the primary 2 buttons though, next time I play I will and let you know my results. I dont have logitech software installed, dont know if that matters or not.

Strange thing is on my other computer which is a Duron on an Epox 8k7a I didn't have any problems. At least not with this.
