Mouse problem

Somehow for no reason my mouse keeps freezing, what I mean by this is when I move the actual mouse the pointer won't move unless I go to ps2rate and set the hz rate again. I think it is ps2rate that is causing the problem so I uninstalled it. The cursor still locks up even when it is uninstalled, i tried using different mouse drivers, that didn't help. So what I want to do it totally reset everything and erase every data file of my mouse so I can do a clean install of my mouse drivers again, because it might stop the freezing. Anyone know how to uninstall mouse drivers and reset everything?

Remove the mouse in device manager, and then reboot and let it be found and reinstalled. Before you do it, practice using keyboard keys to shut down and reboot.
