Mouse Pointer in Win2k Pro

I have noticed that when I exit a game my mouse pointer doesnt appear on the desktop right away. This only started happening after installing win2k, is this normal or is there an option I need to click? Its really annoying tohave to wait for my pointer to appear. Any help would be great.
