Mouse pointer disappears in Remote Desktop..

A user is running Windows 98 (needs to for older software) and connects to a Server 2003 via Remote Desktop v6, but if that user minimizes the RD session, then returns to it, their pointer is no longer available. Is there anyway to remedy this?
