Mouse pads...yes you read that right!

What are some quality pads? I know Icemat is one to look out for, but what other brands?

I use a MetroCard mousepad that New York's MTA gave out when they were trying to hire people to work in the subways.

It works fine with my optical mouse.

I don't see the big deal about so called "gamer" mouse pads. What do they do that my free one does not?

Edit: I'm not trying to be a troll. I'm just curious why someone would spend more than a few bucks on a mouse pad.

I went with the Icemat 2 in the end.

Its really good.. and looks so cool.

It cost more than my hard disk...

Well I'm looking for something for a ball mouse, if that makes any difference.

For ball mouse you can use your desk. I will make no difference.

FUNC 1030.

PC Gamer gave the FUNC sUrface1030 MBA LE a 94%, but that's a pretty expensive mousepad. The original 1030 should be a good pad for cheaper.
