Mouse pad that will work with G5?

Right now im using a peice of cardboard on top of a glass desk. Does anyone here know what kind of pad will work with the Logitech G5 mouse.
I have heard conflicting news on what the G5 will actually track on. I really like the F series pads from FUnc but im afraid of it not being laser compatible and yes the Steelpad 5L does work with the G5 but i've heard that it has a strong toxic smell.

func is awesome.. I have and old model func and it doesn't work 100% if i do flick shots in games, but on the website it says the new ones are compatible with laser mice. I have a g7.
