Holy cows this stuff REEKS to high heaven when it burns. 2W laser+mousepad back = really stinky smoke. This has got to be the worse smell EVER. Worse than sewer gas! :disgust:

Well it was obvious it would burn but I never thought such a pungent, offensive smell would be produced. Burning one = the epitome of stink bombs. :Q

I have a laser mouse (G7) and it's a POS. (Battery says it's critical EVERY day. Someone informed me it's because the mouse moves by itself = constant use.) Ok, that's possible. There should be a GD switch to turn it off then! Yeah I should BURN the little tail-less rat bastard. And no it's not that laser. Laser radiation escaping (laser based) optical mice is class I - infinitesimal. Probably in the dozen or so MICRO-watt range. The laser that burned the foam is a class IV laser (class IV lasers are 500 mW and above) and can start fires, light cigars, and burn holes in dungarees INSTANTLY. (and make gaffers MAD like yellow jackets that had a handful of Diazinon poured in their subterranean abode.)
