I just got a new Powerbook, and I can't seem to find a mouse that works with it! The movement of the cursor keeps on jumping around. It's been annoying me for 2 weeks now. Three different USB Optical mouse/pad combination that works very smoothly on Windows XP machines, none of them would give me a smooth cursor movement on the OSX machine.

Any clues??

I'm on OSX 10.4, 17" Powerbook. I don't think it's a CPU/memory problem, at least not on a 1.67GHz and 1.5GB of Ram.

Hmm. I used to use an old Logitech optical mouse, and it use to freak out on me all the time. I have a newer Logitech optical(one of the ones that kinda conforms to your hand), and it freaks outrarely.
Then again, I have it on a shiny surface.
So seriously, I really have no clue. :(
But it's not the computer.

Sometimes after a restart, the mouse is normal again.. really annoying.

I really dont' think it's a mouse/pad problem, cause the same mouse/pad combo works flawless in my window machines.

Could be because it's a mac.
