Mouse movement makes Crysis stutter

I bought Crysis off the steam sale but I'm finding it hard playing it. First, there was a problem with the resolution. I could not change resolutions without the game being reset to windowed mode. I fixed this by going to dx9. I adjusted the resolution and tried dx10 again. This worked fine.

The first time I played, I did notice lag but I thought it was my GPU (330M) so I lowered my resolution and reset my computer. It worked fine and I was even able to raise my resolution. I realized the problem was NOT the GPU. I was having some problems with the GPU drawing things randomly (I.E bushes popping up as I moved) so I tried changing drivers. Not only did this not work but now I'm having mouse stuttering.

In the menu, when I move my mouse everything gets stuck. To elaborate, the rolling credits stop when my mouse is moving. The same thing happens in game. As soon as I move my mouse, FPS goes down <5.

I've tried everything including change drivers, run dx9/10 modes, change resolution, disable vsync from the driver AND game, disable pre-rendering, changing mouse USB ports, restarting 100 times, underclocking my GPU, closing all processes. The only thing left is to reinstall. But that means downloading close to 8GB again.

All other games work fine. I tried googling but I can't find anything. I have the latest updated steam version. It's a laptop with the following specs

core i5 530M
Nvidia 330M
4GB RAM
Windows 7 Home 64

Annoyed
TGB

Have you applied all the patches for the game? Not sure if the Steam version is fully patched or not.

I used to have this problem with some games, and it seemed to be a specialty driver issue. I had the full fledged logitech software installed which caused some issues, so I uninstalled that and just let windows use the standard mouse drivers which worked fine. You probably lose a decent amount of features though, so it's not really a permanent fix... just something to test.

I have a Razer Orochi mouse. I have the same problem when I use the laptop's trackpad so I doubt it's a mouse issue.

I'm downloading the game again. 50% done.

Beautiful! Enjoy the game! There's so much too it. I always say play it on the hardest level because that's where it really makes you think.
