so i thought ill get a mouse mat, a decent one, it was my birthday the other day so i thought ill treat ma self to something abit better to play on that a horribly gouged wooden table

so load up my favourite site www.overclockers.co.uk

go to the mouse mat section
and theres enough mouse mats to resurface the road outside my house!

now i have a MX510 mouse, and i play CS and UT and loads of other stuff, so i wanna nice accurate mat

i really liked the idea of the Icemat 2nd edition mats, then i read the description

" Icemat - Black 2nd Edition (GS-001-IC)
The Black Icemat is a mousepad made from glass. The surface has been developed and tested by computer gamers, and a special developed treatment of the surface gives the user an experience of great accuracy and precision, due to the fact that the surface gives an excellent grip on the mouseball."

mouseball? how many people still game with a mouse that uses a ball?

so im looking at the Everglide Attack Optical, the Func 1030 Everglide Ricochet (pricey) and the Razer eXactMat (double sided job)

quite simply then.....which is the best? and what other suggestions are there?

I don't go for all the fancy schmancy pads. I buy the $10 belkin gel support pads and replace as needed - usually not more than once a year tbh

oh and I use the mx500 and play fps. The pads have never held my ability to compete back at all.

The Func 1030 is a pretty good pad and it's also double sided, it's pretty much what ever your prefrence is any of the pads you listed are fairly good.
