Mouse locks up and i've tried everything.

My mouse has been flashing on and off alot(light and cursor) for the past 2 months and i have no idea why, it's random, I've tried 5 other USB ports, I've plugged it into the port my keyboard is in and does it still, it happens alot now (like 100 times an hour, no exaggeration).

I can be on my desktop when nothing is running besides svchost.exe, explorer.exe, etc. the usual windows stuff(no anti-virus programs or anything besides sound and internet).

I didn't do anything differently when it started happening either soo...

No virus', adware, spyware, etc. on my computer.

Can someone help i'm stuck and it's really REALLY annoying!

P.S. I tried it on my moms computer for a few minutes and it didn't freeze.

Bend the cord a little in different directions where it connects to the mouse and see if the light stays on. Many times the wire inside the cord where it connects to the mouse starts to break and causes it to lose connection more and more frequently, as the more you use it, the worse it gets. My last mouse didn't even last a year before that happened.

I called Logitech and they had me do that and it did not turn off

Does anybody know anything i could do? I'm so sick of this.
