Mouse lag on new video card and monitor

I recently switched from a dying 21" CRT to a BenQ FP241w 24" LCD and got a new 8800GTS. Obviously I noticed a small lag in response time from the LCD but it wasn't that bad, a week or so of playing CS and it all felt normal, no big deal. But for some reason Warcraft III is incredibly painful, the mouse lag is extremely bad. I've done some googling and came up empty handed, does anyone have any clues?

check game options and see if optimize for SLI is enabled. That can cause mouse lag in some games when enabled but only have a single card. Just a wild shot, but check it.

Try disabling vsync and triple buffering. Also check if the game has a smooth mouse option or similar and try toggling it.

Also you can try something like RivaTuner and lower the pre-render setting for Direct3D to 2. DO NOT lower it further than 2 though or your system may BSOD (current nVidia driver bug).
