Ok, I have a Logitech Wireless Keyboard and a Wireless Optical Mouse. Last night all of a sudden they stopped working, so I had to do a manual power down and thought I would worry about it in the morning. Well, it's the next day now, and I bring my Keyboard/Mouse down to another computer, they work fine. So I put a PS2 Keyboard/Mouse into my system and the mouse pointer doesn't go where it's suppose to, will dissapear and generally just not work. What are my options here to fix this problem? Right now I'm doing a Windows Repair, and the mouse problem is still there, I'm thinking of formating the HD and doing a fresh install of Windows and Mobo Drivers. What do you guys think?

Try a USB mouse and keyboard first to see if the problem is with the ports if it is then use USB instead of PS2

USB and PS2 don't work. Slicking down my HD and reinstalling Win XP as we speak. I thinking it has something to do with Motherboard drivers.

Yeah probably easier to just reload. I would guess it as the drivers also.

You probably could have removed the stuff from device manager and let windows refind it sometimes that works

Yeah but the thing was, is a pain in the padded a$$ using only a keyboard to navigate around windows. Now just have to wait and see, and cross my fingers that this will work. I don't think I could have fried my USB/PS2, 1 because the other USB on the motherboard is functioning, and secondly, I don't think it would just stop working all of a sudden like that.

*EDIT*

It's all back and working again after the clean install of Win XP and the Mobo Drivers...just wierd.
