mouse jumps with nvidia nview enabled

not really sure how to classify it. but when i have nview enabled, my computer has problems. sometimes, when i'm doing a lot of hard drive loading, when you hear it grinding away, the mouse jerks around, and lags. like, you move it a lot, and it barely moves. then slowly moves across the screen. and then it has a few seconds delay when you move it again. it clears up after the hard drive is done.
or it could be heavy processor usage, like when doing digital photo processing.

i'm running an athlon xp 3000+, on an asus km266, and the video card is an abit siluro geforce 4 ti 4200.
not sure how the drivers are affecting my computer, but i have absolutely no problems when turning off nview. then i get that mouse, computer slowing down, basically freezing sometimes, when i am using nview. i have to use nview for my dual monitors though (at least i think so)
thanks

Which version of the NVidia drivers are you using? I had some severe problems with NView enabled with some of the last few 56.x driver versions. Recent 56.72s haven't given me any notable problems though.
Check your system event logs, do you see anything in there about NView? I had lots of errors in there.

i am running 56.72.
had problems all the way through the last few months of revisions.
as for event logs, i don't know how to check them in xp home
