Mouse is moving by itself, is my comp hacked?

My mouse would move for a few seonds unexpectetly (happends rarely)

it doesnt click on anything just kinda "wobble" and move

Is it possible that some installed a trojan into my comp, or is my mouse having problems?

my mouse is a wheel mouse optical

sounds more like an optical issue. Not many script kiddies play with remote desktop. Are you using your optical on a shiny surface, such as a waxed table?

I have a ball mouse that will do this. It will scoot over about an inch to the right at times. Only happens at the desktop, never jumped around on me when playing a game.

Wouldn't happen if you had the Microsoft Trackball Explorer. Fits in your hand perfectly, does the job like a gem!

Ugh. I tried one and I can't stand it. The buttons were in weird places and the click felt funny.
I've had this Logitech Trackman FX for years and never had a problem... and yes, it's optical.
Bonus feature: People have no idea how to use it. Keeps them off my comp. 😀

I doubt that you've been hacked. If you had, you would probably have noticed some other ill effects. I have a MS Intellimouse Optical (not the Explorer) and every now and then, it jumps around or files all around the screen, but within in a second or two, it always comes back. I think it's just the optical eye spazzing or something.

It's likely you have been posessed by a Demon that has incomplete mastery of host invisibility. You may also notice occassional involuntary body twitching or muscle cramps.

I think Moonbeam's on the right track: It's not the mouse really moving, however. It's staying in once place, but the monitor is moving around it. (It's all relativity...)
