Mouse hangs in Windows NT Server

Greetings,
Please help me with this goofy problem. The NT server at work experiences periodic mouse freezes. The frozen mouse will not go away with time, I have to reboot. Rebooting the server is a MAJOR problem.

Replacing the mouse does not cure the problem. Is there a way to "restart" the mouse? I have looked for a service to do this, but with no luck.

I had a problem with my mouse freezing when I was surfing the net. I found that the problem was caused from my network card didn't like to share IRQ with some other device in my computer. ALl I did to fix the problem was place the network card in a different pci slot.
