Mouse freezing problem

I've got a Razer Diamondback running on an OCed rig with Vista 64.

I'd say about 20% of the time, when I lift the mouse off the pad, my computer freezes and the little round wait icon pops up as if its loading something. I don't know what's causing this. I have never had this problem before. I've updated my mouse drivers to the latest version (6.02) but it still hasn't solved the problem.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I did some searches here but I didn't find anything that applied to my problem.

All I know is that freezes releated to mouse are usualy caused by their cable. If it happens while lifting then maybe its somewhere near connection with mouse itself.

Try to uninstall the driver and use it like that. As far as I know, the driver isn't really all that useful; the DPI settings should still function without the drivers.

I just tried out your suggestion. It was the cable. Right where the cable connects to the mouse, if I wiggle it a little, it locks up.

What a POS! I've never had any problems with MS mice. I wonder if Razer will have the same kind of service that MS has for their peripherals.
