Recently, I noticed a very bad smell from my garage. After a marathon cleaning of the entire garage, I noticed some rodent feces along the edges and it's not the first time we've had mice in the garage. Anyway, it appears that the poison that the pest control dude put out works, only problem is, the damn rodent crawled up somewhere in my engine compartment in my car and died. I have tried spraying out every possible area the rat bastage could have crawled to die with no success. My question is, how long will it take for the smell to go away. It's smelled bad since Saturday but it's not coming into the passgener compartment fortunately. It can only be smelled when the car is idle and the engine is warm.

depends on amount of fresh air,temp,humidity,etc...

I'd take the car to CarMax and see how much they'll buy it from you for. Damn, rodent smells don't sound good. Then again, you could just buy a 6 oz. container of some cherry smelling air freshner to place in your car. The cherry smell will over-take the rodent smell.
