Mouse cursor error in WinDVD on GF 2 MX

I got a Hercules Geforce 2 MX card running reference drivers 6.50. When I use Windvd 2.3 for a little while, the mouse cursor turns into a square of different colors each time. Sometimes I get an hourglass as the normal cursor instead of an arrow. When I try to change mouse cursor scheme nothing happens. I used to have an ASUS Geforce 2 MX card and I had the same problem with that card.

Does anyone have the same problem and does anyone know a solution?

i get the same problem everytime. and if you exit WinDVD and try to run a program with your little square ... it crashes the whole system. the only temporary solution i know:

wait for the box to disappear (meaning let the movie run a little) and then try moving the mouse again. you may need to do this a couple of times until you get your normal cursor.

no solution to it as of now, but will keep you updated if i find any. 🙂
