If you normally play CS with NO mouse acceleration, and received a surprise when you installed CS on Win XP, this fix is for YOU! 🙂
I had that "mouse precision" stuff turned off, no mouse accel in Windows XP environment, but once I installed CS and got in the game, there was definately some acceleration going on.
What I found out is that you need to add 2 variable to your Command/Target line when you start up CS. Just add "-noforcemparms -noforcemaccel" to your Command/Target line, and you should experince the pure joy of no mouse accel. although the sensitivity level for you might be different though. I went from 3.0 in Win2K to 6.5 in XP.....oh well. 🙂
