Mouse acceleration always re-enables!

Hi everyone!

I've got a problem that has been annoying me for a while so I've finally decide to ask about it. Running W2K and everytime I login from rebooting mouse acceleration defaults itself back to low. I have to manually go into the control panel and cut it off. Works fine until I reboot...then it sets itself back to low.😕 Any ideas?
