I am in the process of building my 1st computer. I just bought a used NF7-S v2 off of the forums, but it did not come with any mounting hardware. I dont have my case yet, its coming in tomarrow, but it is a Chieftec Dragon case w/ side window. I have tons of regular computer screws, but I need to know is there anything other hardware I need, I have heard of such problems as "grounding" the motherboard, what to I have to get to prevent this? Are there any other problems that I will have to avoid? Thanks.

You will need "standoffs" to mount the MB to the case. Cases typically come with these (MBs don't). They can be metal or plastic and snap or screw to the case/MB tray. The MB snaps or is screwed to them. You will need at least one (preferably more) metal one so the MB can be grounded to the case. What you want to avoid is "shorting" the MB to the case (solder points or exposed electrical pathways touching the case). Standoffs help prevent this, however a visual inspection should be made before connecting power, just to be sure. Good luck!

I generally see mounting hardware kits at places that specilaize in cooling products. The store where you purchased the case would be worth a try. If you're buying a new case, it will almost for sure come with mounting hardware.
