Any help here would be appreciated guys.. I'm looking for a vendor that carries the required brackets for this mounting... I know that Swiftec makes them I just can't find anyone that has them in stock :)

Thanks,
CH2

if they don't have one then you could do what i did...i got a mcx462 and needed to mount in on a s478 p4. i found an old case grill insert (an old one from an oem computer, very thin metal, 80mm in size and fits over the heatsink perfect). I then took off the fan so i had the bare heatsink. then i went the the hardware store and got 4 nuts, 4 bolts, and 4 springs. i used regular case standoffs usually for motherboards and screwed then through the motherboard with nuts holding them on the back. then i stuck the case fan insert over the heatsink, put the heatsink on the chip, and put the screws through the case fan insert...i know it sounds complicated but it work very well.

The mounting brackets only work on the MCX version of the Swifty the older MC462 only has brackets for the 423 version of the P4. On the 478 version, the heatsink is rotated 90% and the brackets mount to a different set of holes in the heatsink base.

Sorry, I guess you'll have to custom make them.
