Ok, I just got my setup, K7T Pro 2A, 1.0 TBird @ 1.3, the FOP 32 i bought didnt come mounted... I have never mounted a HS/F before, and before I do it, I want to make sure im doing it right... someone PLEASE share with me what to look out for...

PS, the guy i bought it from put a little silver compund on the HS/F where it attaches to the CPU... is this all that is going to hold it together?

I wouldn't trust any adhesive to hold such a heavy hsf on a chip. It either wouldn't be very thermally conductive and/or strong.
Most likely, that's just thermal paste. You need to use the clip to hold the thing on the socket. Do a search of the forums. There's plenty of info on how to mount this (notoriously difficult) thing on.

What the heck, I'll give you some tips here:
1) If you have the fop32 and not the 32-1, there will be a small ridge on one side which you may have to grind off for the thing to fit. If the thing fits on your socket (it must be perfectly flat on the kernel (the actual piece of silicon on the ceramic), then don't worry.
2) Mount the hs with the fan removed and the motherboard not mounted in the case.
3) You might want to remove the metal clip and take pliers to it to "straighten it out a bit". Don't do this too much because if you bend it too much, it won't hold the hs very well.
4) Hold the hs flat on the kernel at all times. If you don't, you'll break the edges off the chip. Always keep one hand on the hs to make sure of this.
5) Make sure the hs is aligned correctly. It is not designed to fit any old way.
6) Use the same hand you use to hold the hs flat to hold one end of the clip on one of the plastic lugs of the socket, on side of the socket where the chip is seated closest to.
7) Take a philips head screwdriver (if you are brave), or your free fingers (if you don't mind them hurting) and push the upraised end of the clip down, and fasten the clip on a plastic lug on the socket. This step should be done with your free hand (not the hand you are using to hold the socket flat and the other end of the clip in place.
