I know a lot of u guys have 7237 case...

already have a cdrw, mp3 and 2 hd + floppy...
want to add 1 more hd...

anyway to mount it so it don't block air circulation...

4 x 5.25 slot with 3 occupied [adding a hd is not a good option] = 1 hd + 1 cdrw + 1 dvd

3 x 3.5 slot with 2 occupied [[adding a hd is not a good option] = 1 floppy + 1 hd....

pls advice

thanks in advance...

You could still place it in the 5.25" slot and put one of those external HDD fan units (made by Antec) that fits in the front of the slot w/3 small fans on it. That would blow some air over it and the drives above and below. Granted, they don't provide a heck of a lot of air but some would equal better than none and probably better than you have now without the extra HDD.

I have a CD-R and a DVD drive occupying the top 2 bays. I bought 2 pairs of 5 1/4 to 3 1/2 adapter rails for the 2 hds I was installing in the bottom 2 bays. For cooling, I cut up 2 bay covers to accomodate 2 60mm fans, like how it was done here. I left the space under the floppy open since I was going to mount a home-made fan controller unit in that area.

Have you thought about mounting the HDD to the bottom (inside) of the case? A couple of home-made brackets screwed to the HDD and the bottom of the case should do it.
