they'd have to fight the big 11 for it, but it just might be true.

all cupcake conference? no
big easy? no
pac 10? outside of USC, what have they got? MW has been hurting them this year.

pac10 absolutely blows this year.

pac10 rocked for the first half of last year until everybody imploded.

I'd put them over the Big East, Pac 10 and Big 10 easily. The SEC is still the top dog and the ACC is unknown at the moment, started out a laugher conference, but since week 1 they have been dominant.

if wake forest is the best team in the conference then the mountain west is better. so is the big 11.

Who is the ACC dominating? NC State beating ECU in OT is not a dominating performance. How many BCS teams have ACC teams beaten? I can only think of the close game Wake won over Ole Miss(they finished dead last in the SEC West last year).

Who has the Big 10 beat?

Miss St held Auburn to 3 points. GA Tech beat them 38-7
Central Florida took South Florida to OT. Boston College beat them 34-7
ECU Destroyed West Virginia and beat Va Tech, NC State beat them
Maryland wiped the floor with Cal
Miami was competitive with Florida for 3 quarters
UNC destroyed Rutgers
and hell even Duke has a winning record.

Then there are the favorites, Wake Forest, Clemson and Va Tech as well as Florida State

Auburn is struggling with a capital 'S' with a brand new offense. GT beat a creampuff, that's all I see here. GT could still be a good team tho.

BC beat a team that could barely handle a CUSA team? Not a ringing endorsement.

WVU and VT are really close to not mattering. Plus ECU lost a stud LB for the year prior to this game. And NC State needed 2OT to beat this non BCS team AT HOME. The only other team they beat? William & Mary.

Can't argue with that. Ok, I can, it's Cal. From the Pac10. It was 8am for the bears and when they finally started to wake up the terps barely hung on for the win.

When you start talking about moral victories there is a problem. UM is improved tho.

Dude. It's Rutgers. From the Big East. Fresno State beat them bad. In NJ.

Northwestern laid a beat down on them. In Duke stadium. Please.

WF is legit.

Clemson, while ranked, deserves nobody's respect after getting spanked at home by Alabama. Yeah, bama looks good this year (so far) but Clemson got hit in the mouth and then ran away like little girls for the rest of the game.

VT... see earlier comment about mattering, or lack thereof. They need to beat the huskers and then I'll agree to them being alright.

Seminoles are improved but I pick them to lose to the Buffs in Fla on Saturday. They haven't been relevant for years and need to win some games. The WF game was a statement game. Just the wrong statement.

Rutgers doesn't count this year. They want a do over. lol and McNeese St was only 8 points behind UNC(they were tied at halftime).

ECU was not prepared for the NC State game. Every game that was close, they gave up 200+ passing yards(except VT, they won with a blocked punt any way). The coach needed to say, lets cut down on the opp's passing game. What happened? NC State gets 3 TD passes.

Florida still beat Miami by more than 3 touchdowns. It's 4 quarters not 3.

Middle Tenn >> Cal. lol jk. Honestly MD is decent compared to who they played(3 teams with a losing record), but they haven't played a conference game yet.

Your ACC favorites have already shown they can't hang with the SEC's best.

Bama beat Clemson.
Florida beat Miami.
Wake Forest struggled against a weak SEC team.
FSU lost to Wake Forest which doesn't seem to indicate they will move higher.

That's why I said, there is SEC at number 1, then the rest. And the ACC played like absolute crap the first week, but since then have regained their bearings.

My vote:
SEC
<Big Gap>
Big 12
ACC/Mountain West
then the rest

Hello.

Didn't watch the game but looks like they can win on the road alright. The ACC is just confusing, but then all the conferences are I guess.

Even though they had one good weekend vs pac-10, I wouldn't put them over the pac-10. If they were in an extended conference together as the season played out you would see the "pac-10" side of the new conference win overall, even if you took USC out of the picture. The pac-10 is more talented and better overall, however the pac-10 as a whole tends to shoot itself at the prime moments for national exposure.

I think the SEC and Big 12 are closer than most people think. But after that it drops off. MW is 3rd. Big Ten is still way better than the ACC.
