i would like to mount a 7inch tablet under the cabinet. when not in use, it would be flip or folded upward for a clean look. so the hinge would work like a laptop's...strong enough so that the tablet wouldnt flip back down due to gravity.
anyone got something like this??? the only mounts i found are the ones that hold the tablet permanently exposed for use. no way to hide tablet when it's not in use. the closest i found were the ones that can flip...BUT there are knobs to tighten/lock the location of tilt which would be a hassle each time.

nevermind, i just spoke to a handyman.
he said to use velcro and any hinge at homedepot. the velcro will hold the tablet in the up position. then i can just use some force to flip it down when i need to use it. brilliant!

The disadvantage to that is the only two positions will be "up" and "perpendicular" to the bottom of the cabinet, you won't be able to angle it forward at all. I think I'd go with a friction hinge, leaving the Velcro as a back-up if it eventually fails (to hold it far enough out of the way, against whatever surface you mount it on, and before you get around to replacing the hinge...)

PS: Superglue doesn't work very well to hold plastic to metal, so some sort of epoxy would probably be a better bet. Or maybe short, countersunk bolts.
