mount.cifs password size limit

Red Squirrel

No Lifer
On all the machines on my network there is a share that gives full read access to the entire drives (for the backup server), because of the extent of this, the password is 32 characters long. With the regular smbmount command it works fine. However, in FC5 that command does not exist, mount.cifs is the replacement. But when I try to mount something with that password, it says its too long of a password. Without changing the password, is there a way around this? In this particular situation I can always just create another share to that specific location, though I was thinking of simply saving myself some trouble by reusing a higher level share and mounting the folder I need.
