Rooting doesn't change the Android version


What you meant to say was, "root your phone, unlock the booatloader, and then load AOSP".

I've actually done the first two steps, I'm currently running Synergy, which is a Touchwiz stock-based ROM. No, I don't like Touchwiz, but there is something to be said for the reliability of stock-based ROMs...
